A simple life of a butterfly is not a frame for Wonderland stories nor pure creativity. It’s an illustration that is admiring a simple but memorable moment of the butterfly’s daily experience.



This illustration project is a way to appreciate a simple and memorable moment in life.

Bandi’s illustration project was created in 24 hours during a serious game design competition. Mazi’s team members included an animator, 2 developers, and an illustrator. We had to come up with an idea for a serious game, complete the project, and release the demo in 3 days. So, as an illustrator of the team, I had to come up with an idea for characters and background as well. I drew ten characters, two backgrounds, and elements of the play in 7-10 hours and illustrated them with flat design techniques at Illustrator. The whole illustrating process took 20-24 hours.

The idea of being connected to society is always an important question for me, The fact of being involved with or connected to someone or something. The idea of being safe but not truly connected and variations in this idea. In this illustration, I want to show the relations and connections under the sea metaphorically. So I drew 38 characters and digitally collaged them in photoshop.
